The "horrible" job is from improper setting of the plows. Some guys have never pulled a plow a day in their life.They have no idea how to set a plow(or even know it needs to be set). The tractor wheels are wrong,some plows are too big for the tractor,some have worn shares that wont penetrate,some guys try to plow down to China,the front bottom is buried while the rear is just skimming(I've seen it all).If a plow is set right,it wont matter what width it is.But it's all about 'seat time',haveing a good time.Our club does a plow day every year. Not a big deal,we welcome all and help them to set properly(if possible)Try to teach a new skill to some folks.Some guys bring a disk or harrow instead.For some guys,that's the only time they get to drive their tractor,other than a parade,show or pull.So chill out and let em have fun. As I'm usually the guy who disks it after,not a big deal.
