There will always be those that can not stomach that they are regulated by DOT rules. Take tie downs; tarps; lights; weight; size; These are all safety rules that everyone needs to follow. Same thing with hauling hazardous materials. The rules apply to everyone.
By the way the description you gave in the other post. we delivered our own goods to our customers in three states, and our trucks were never for hire That is what is called a private carrier. They are only allowed to carry stuff they own. All Dot rules apply to they except one. They do not need a ICC number; some know this as the MC number. But they must have a DOT number.
