Well be for Thanksgiving & while putting items for winter, I pulled out my tire chain's & installed on the J/Deere 60, The old J/Deere A I brought back to life after 30+ years & installed the ones on the little J/deere M. These 3 we don't use much on the farm, but I use all 3 three cutting & hauling wood. The partners on the farm said I was crazy, I said I'd rather install them on a nice day the a cold snowy icey day. Well today we got snow, freezing rain. The farm is located in a valley on a gravel road which now has 1.5" ice & snow packed. When I spread with that tractor in the winter without chains I kept couple 5 gallon buckets of sand that I dumped in the loader bucket for the same reason. Just spread a tad of sand when in doubt, I learned my lesson sliding backwards with that out fit once. Now we have a New Holland spreader with 2 bent web bars & and kinked tongue..
