The parts you are ordering are plastic --you wont be welding them either . There is a bolt that goes through and you either have to drill and tap a hole or in some cases they weld the head of the bolt to the frame and then assemble. On top is a 1X2 1/2 metal strap with a hole in the center , below that is the plastic body in two halves that you put on both sides of your hose or hydraulic pipe. The plastic body was what I thought you could have made from wood -- the strap I am sure you could have made from scrap. Other wise go with the electrical conduent clamps -- easy enough.
