I worked for IHC Advertising during the 706-806 Era and I guarantee that any tractor Preproduction for tests Etc. was cut up and never was allowed to enter the Domestic Market. There was not a series such as mentioned. Testing was done at IHC FEREC Center at County Line Rd. and Rt. 66 Hinsdale ILL. Some in Arizona and MISS. and other States. All Preproduction Tractors were returned to Farmall Works,Rock Island ILL. for Scrapping after testing was complete. The only Tractor to my knowledge to make it beyond the test period and to survive to this day and there were two of them were the Turbine Tractors based upon the International 340 Chassis and one of them is in the Smithsonian Museum now. I have some experience with that Tractor but I will not go there now. The most memorable Tractor from that period for me was the IHC 1206,which I thought would be the Life Saver for IHC after the miserable years of the 460-560-660 but it was not to be. I still think the 1206 is a pretty classy Tractor.
