its an EGJB electric generating jake brake. see the 2 big switches on the dash i got the exact unit on my old chev pick up. great for extra charging of the units battery system when entering extended down hill slopes u will never need to replace brake pads for the life of the vehicle u will see many of these components in the mountain regions. it even works better when entering sharp curves and wanting to drift hard corners. my wife likes it for parallel parking it gives her extended individual brakes for entering or leaving a parking spot. best invention ever. lol
