I'm in the market for a new shop seat. The one I have has casters with flat spots and I've had to weld the frame back together numerous times. Over the years I've used everything from old office chairs to buckets to sit on. We work on this old iron for enjoyment, right? Might as well be comfortable. I want something with a padded seat, large casters that won't get stuck on a rock, and adjustable height. And the base needs to be wide enough that it doesn't want to tip over if you back up and the wheel gets stuck on the air hose (NOT fun). I'm up for building my own if I can find some good ideas. What you got in your shop?
