There is a Menards 5 miles away, and a bigger shopping town had Menards, Home Depot, and Lowe’s.
They built the Menards in my town because the one 30 miles away was too busy. People were coming up from Iowa toshop, and from far away the West.
The Lowe’s was closed last year, just about the time they got craftsman tools.....
I like Home Depot. I never cared for Lowe’s.
Menards is the go to around here, clearly they won the big box store wars. 20 years ago they had a lot of dumb people in the store. These days they upped their game and have at least one smart person in each dept that knows their products. They sure added a lot of non lumber yard products, wife shops there almost as much as I do.
The 11% you have to be smart about, they do raise the prices on some stuff so you aren’t getting the 11% really. But it does offer some savings if you are smart about it.
