I did not get his response but the best approach would have been to address the OP's problem then we would all learn. Anything is possible concerning the OP's tractor but I have heard time and again major rebuilds on those power shifts are quite expensive. And this is coming from a guy who is fairly open to owning a 2470 and almost bought one a number of years ago.
