A3-152 is an indirect injection engine while the AD3-152 is a direct injection engine. The injectors are vertical in the A3 and angled in the AD3. The 152 is basically 3/4 of the 203 that was used in the MF 65. It is my understanding that only the A3 engine was used in the 35 and 50. The AD3 came into being with the 135 and 150.
