Depends on how you use your tractor. Light duty, mowing grass, parades, hay rides, raking hay, etc., almost anything will work. A lot of farm tractor owners have come to depend on the oils designed for diesel powered trucks and most of it works OK. There is better oil designed for hard working farm tractors. Most trucks operate in the 25% of max power range. Hard pulling farm tractors work in the 75% to 100% range in a lot more dust than most trucks ever see. Manufacturers have been working with oil companies for many years to develop oils that are better suited for farm tractor use. John Deere and CaseIH have been doing this for a long, long time and have oils that are much better than the common truck oils. Just my two cents worth. When operating $100,000 tractors, combines, etc., I don't skimp on maintenance. Your call.
