I must be missing the point (as I often do). I thought the whole point of having a glass sediment bowl was to :
1) Catch dirt and rust
2) Show you when you have a problem
3) Be easy to clean whenever it gets nearly full
Seems like having a fine screen in the tank means you won't know there's an issue, until your engine is starving for fuel under load. Then you have to drain the tank to clean it??
