Couldn't he change over to a 2 compartment or a pair of master cylinders and split the lines between front and rear axles ? I looked into this for my '64 F 600 years ago, never followed up on it, but at least then you still have a chance only one axle fails, that is a lonely feeling when there is nothing at the pedal LOL !
