My class at flight school started with 34 students. 14 were found to have deviated septums. Required surgery. They were sent to an AFB for the procedure. They came back later looking like raccoons. Eyes sockets all black and blue. They were too late for my class and were set back a class resulting in my class being extremely small and their class being relatively large. I was pleased to be in a small class. So, for me, deviated septums were a good thing. (;>))
