Have to define heavy hay. Here in Ohio grass alfalfs mix an H has plenty of power, normally 3 cuttings per year but if can time things right and weather cooperates 5 cuttings per year. We used a 41 H with belly pump single hose 3" cylinder, no problems. Pull rod back to raise, forward to lower. Left side or front right either will work as they work together for a front mount cultivator ond back if for delayed lift on cultivator. Alfalfa and timothy or orchard grass or possibly Red Clover instead of the alfalfa or a mix of the red clover and alfalfa plus the grass.
