A 4 cylinder Cummins will cost you more than 1500$ and that’s just the very beginning. You could do it but you’ll be 4 or 5000$ into it to do right. Have a couple good friends with dorfs that have a Cummins swapped into them they’ve put enough money into trying to get them to work right they could of bought a new Dorf with warranty and just worry about putting fuel in it and changing the oil . The one guy finally sold his to another poor slob and the other one Is back in the shop again and after all that they still don’t have anything reliable to actually get out and use . I’ve seen the swaps done right and they work ok but it’s not really cost effective unless you have a motor already and enough time to do it the way it needs done Cummins is a good engine but all the swapping fantasies people have are a little overboard. After seeing the few around here it I want a truck with a Cummins I’ll buy one from the factory if I want a ford I’ll buy a ford .
