Your cattle sure have nice bedding. It looks like you take good care of them. I love seeing cattle on a green grassy field. I hate seeing cattle in an all mud confinement.
We always ground cob corn. Compared to your situation it seems the shelled corn takes a lot less horsepower than cob corn. All our grinding and mixing was back work. We had a separate grinder, belt driven and then PTO driven. Shovel into wagon, shovel or pail/walk-it into grinder, bag out of grinder. My Dad had a mixer mill built into his grainery. Bag it in, bag it out. Then bag it to a separate dairy barn some distance away. And finally bag it into the manger. The same for the pig and chickens. No wonder my back is shot.
