Question: Will she run without the choke at all?
Try this: Let her warm up real good (with or without the choke as necessary) then shut her down. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes with the fuel valve still open. Then, try starting her up without the choke. If she starts up and runs ok but after a few minutes it then starts to falter and needs the choke to stay running, it is probably a fuel restriction somewhere between the carb float needle and the tank. If she wont start or run after being warmed up without the choke, then it sounds like a clogged carb jet. This is assuming the problem is fuel related.
