A friend has taken a 310 Diesel and bored and stroked it to around 400 cu. Then turned it into a gas with a 16 to 1 compression. Not for the faint of heart. The cam is different because the gas head has the intake valves paired. A diesel is every other one. But makes it breathe good. Computer says 250 hp. At 3000. Also you have to have a crank triggered ignition. Lots of fun. Also concrete block and plug all water holes in head. Then run water in back of head and out the front. Sure there is more but enough to let you know what to expect.
