I have to majorly disagree with tractor vet. The dual power is nothing like a torque amplifier. Yes it might need rebuilt sometime but it’s not anymore difficult than replacing a clutch. The motors are not sleeve but I had a 9600 tractor that I pulled in the farm stock and would throw a flame out of the stack nearly every time down track. When I decided to put it back to a farm tractor I had to replace the head gasket and the motor looked perfect inside and it’s still going strong. My opinion the 401 was the best motor going that era. That’s why they are in everything from the 8000 to the tw35
