The is an abundance of Italian rye grass baled for hay where I live. If the bales are going to be fed in a month or less I might bale it as high as 20%-25% moisture but I wouldn't stack the bales. Rye grass n Bermuda causes lower amount of Bermuda to be produced from the fields. Due to the fact that thick rye grass tends to form a mat when cut especially if not conditioned therefore it can be slow to dry to 15% moisture content. If cut before mature it makes decent hay for cows/calves.
