I have been working on a restoration job on a 1974 I.H. 674 tractor. My question is I wonder how many of you people out here that owned one of these tractors which might had a front loader/ bucket frame on it. The reason why I am asking is that I notice the floor steps felt like they give away. Last night I took one off for cleaning. realizing they where made to feel like they where weak. These springs, spacer, and rubber cushion. I guess are to be air ride for the feet. I think I will change my over to a solid mounting to the metal bracket. I just thought I would ask out here and see what every body had to say about these floor plates on this tractor. L.O.L. it could me just my imagination maybe it was a good ideal that I just do not know about. Thanks for you comment.
