I have Alliance 14.9-28 on my 4000SU, decent tire for the price, good traction and wear, hasn't been roaded much, only issue I'm seeing is at 10-11 years old there is a good amount of dry checking, will probably have to replace them in the next 4-5 years, hopefully not sooner.
I have Firestone 16.9-30 SATII on my 4000, excellent traction but don't road well at all, 8 years old and their narrow bars are over half worn, wish they still made the Traction Field and Road, that was a good tire, have a set on my 4500 that are 30 years old.
Nephew has had good luck with the BKT's he's running on his tractors.
Another brand to look at is Mitas, recently purchased a set of 16.9R34 radials, European brand but mine were made in Iowa, haven't used them enough to say how they perform or hold up.
Took a set of 8 year old Michelins off last year due to sidewall cracking, after 9 flats in 4 years I'm done with Michelins.
If you do a good bit of road traveling consider getting radials, twice the cost but wear three times longer.
