Since nobody has responded I will take a wild shot at it. I have a plain 7200 12 row 30 Planter. I know that tracing hoses that disappear into the tongue and then from the tongue disappear into the planter frame is frustrating at best but there might be a restrictor somewhere in a marker hose. I have never messed with the marker drop on my 7200 but on the 6 row 7000 I used to have it seems like there was a hexagonal shaped fitting With a set screw to adjust the marker drop speed. It was in front of the frame on the left side of the tongue I think but it has been a long time since I had the 7000. By the way it sounds in your post the marker cylinders get oil from the same hoses that raise the planter. Come to think of it on my 7200 I have to force the markers down meaning if I push the hydraulic lever in the tractor into float the planter will go down but the markers will not go down. I have to hold the hydraulic lever in the down pressure position until the marker goes down. This tells me there is a valve somewhere in the planter that needs to be held open by hydraulic pressure to allow the markers to go down. Your planter probably has that big master cylinder in the tongue. I would trace hoses from that master cylinder to see if the marker lift hoses are in that area. There might be an adjustment there or maybe the markers will just have to be slow. Sorry I cant point you directly to something. I would look around that big master cylinder first though if hour planter has one.
