When I was 6yrs old(1962), they were building our house and I stepped on a nail in a small cut off board that a carpenter had just thrown off the roof. The carpenter noticed right away, climbed down, asked if I was ok, and so on-yeah it hurts but I'm fine. He gave me about $2 and change so that I would tell my parents. Well I limped around all afternoon, did not tell anyone, and was sitting counting my money, and that is when-where did you get that money? why are you limping? take off your shoe! let me see! So long story short Dad ran me to the Doctor, and I got tetanus shot. I don't remember it taking long to heal or hurting real bad for very long. I guess I was lucky it was a clean nail and not a rusty one. Mark.
