Apparently a shot is something they have to try before replacing the hip. I got the shot in my right side early Sep 2017. It lasted about two weeks. Hip was replaced that Dec. Left hip gave out spring of 2019. I limped through last year. Last winter the doc wouldn't replace my left hip because he said the x ray didn't look all that bad! I said I don't care, it hurts a whole lot more than the right one ever did! So we had to do the shot. Again, it lasted about two weeks. Then they won't operate for three months. Then it was too late to get me done before spring work! I was not happy. He said he'd pencil me in for Dec. I think in August I'd better start getting after him, and see if covid 19 has screwed everything up.
