On your picture of gassing (dieseling) up, I bought a used 4010 and the fuel cap was missing. On a trip to the dealer I told the clerk to get one for me. He comes back with the box, sets it down on the counter and starts writing up the ticket. In waiting for that to complete, I open the box and look at a RED diesel cap.
In my best REDneck voice I exclaim: "I'm not putting that RED cap on my GREEN tractor." He explained that on these JD tractors, the fuel cap is red to aid in the owner/operator not thinking that the front cap was the radiator.....made sense. When I got home I pulled out my I and T manual and sure-nuff, on the front cover was a nice shiny 3010 with a nice shiny RED cap on the front spigot.
