We went out to Gothenburg Neb. and picked up some tires I bought and crossed the Platt river at Columbus--We've crossed it before it always had water in it but I couldn't believe what I was seeing when we crossed it Thursday so I turned around and the Mrs. took some pics. Looks like a moon scape to me. We are dry in Iowa but Neb. is dryer for the most part. Most of the farmers had their pivots running for they had 100 degree plus temps predicted for this weekend. The crops looked good except where the pivots missed--beans were yellow and the corn was 3 ft. tall and brown.---Tee Looking down river and up river Drove almost 1200 mi. in 2 days--hard on a old man--Traffic on I-80 runs between 80 and 85!
