I have a 1949, Massey 44 diesel, I am not getting any fuel past the secondary fuel filter, I have installed a new fuel filter, and have the same issue. The overflow valve is installed directly off the top of filter. The parts manual shows it coming off the injection pump and piped back into a port on the upper part of the fuel tank, presently piped back into tee, just before the primary filter. I had bypassed the secondary filter, and the tractor started just fine. If this overflow valve is stuck open would it cause the fuel to just bypass the filter altogether and just recirculate the fuel without feeding it to the distrubutor head? Can this overflow valve be cleaned successfully? Or should I just try to source a new one? If anyone has dealt with this issue or could share experiences, that would be great.
