Funny story around Vern Weston getting me out to the dealership to look at a new Long (Fiat) 560 back in '76 but, long story short, I bought the bloody thing. Turns out it was certainly the handiest, and probably overall, the best all-around tractor I had on the farm (out of 16 or 17), especially considering it was 1/3 the cost of a JD, Case, Kubota, etc. When they delivered it he took pains to tell me that it was metric which meant it was imperative to go over it every few days and tighten up all the loose bolts (carefully because they strip easily). A few tubes of loc-tite solved that issue early on. Quiet, turn-on-a-dime, sipped fuel, kick myself now for selling after I dispersed the livestock. After 16 years it had 10,000 hours on the clock with never a breakdown or major repair; was still quiet, no smoke, easy starting, couldn't ask for more.....
