I have had a lot of experience in points - slash contacts -- the cleaner they are the better the spark -- the cleaner they are the longer they last too ! a connection has to be real good from the get go and it will last longer -- an other effect on the points is a good condenser -- bad condenser means bad points in the near future -- OK thats enuf ---- Roy PS when putting in new or a nice set of used always pull a clean piece of white paper thru them at least 3 times -- Wallla --Clean
