I'm a year round calver. Not by choice but the bull is with the herd year round so calves show up whenever. I was lucky this heifer with her first calf knew how to look after a new born calf and it was licked off and up in no time. I was carrying hay and bedding out to the bush where they were staying for the first few days but she finally brought it home that stormy day.
