Your riding lawn mower makes more noise than my Buffalo Pitts under a heavy load. Idling in the back yard, all you can hear is the ratchet of the oil pump. Driving down the road, you'll hear the clatter of the gears first. The whistle, on the other hand, has been heard 4 miles away as the crow flies, on the right day.
