I pulled a 3-16 in medium soil with my MF 285 75 HP 2WD just fine. Only when it was too much uphill it was a problem to keep the nose down even though I had 230 kg front weight on. More weight and FWD would have solved that. Lift capacity might be an issue though if it is a heavy plow with coulters and trip springs and the tractor is not in good condition.
