Chuck, don't give up hope. My granddaughter had a serious head injury (fractured skull) in soccer in May 2019. They actually removed part of her skull to allow for brain swelling. She was in a coma for several days, and no idea what she'd be like if she recovered. Today she's a straight A student in advanced classes and due to graduate from high school next year. Driving to school and doing all the normal stuff a teen age girl does. Bakes some mean pies too. My prayers are for your son.
