I run WIX (they make the NAPA filters, so they are the same). Have used both for years at home and work, there is nothing wrong with these filters in my opinion. The problem is the human error during installation. As long as you put and keep the seal gasket up in the housing, where it belongs, there is no problem. A couple dabs of grease will keep them up there while the element is being installed. JMHO.

Traditional Farmer, a problem with fuel coming out of the tank could be the issue. It doesn't take much crap moving around in a tank to cause intermittent problems.
