There is a relatively new (5-6 years) Orschlens store about 4 miles from me. There is also a new (about 3 year) TSC store less than one mile further down the road. The Orschlen store is about twice the size of the TSC store. The TSC store is only there because the city gave them a multi-year tax abatement to anchor a failing strip mall. There are two other much larger TSC stores within 15 miles.
It will be interesting to see what happens. My guess is that the small TSC store will close when the tax abatement ends and the sign at the much larger Orschlen store will change from Orschlen to TSC. I will not be happy.
