I fed cattle for many years with nothing but a 3PH bale spear, about 70-80 bales a year and my 245 did well. I would have liked to have had a loader but I got by without it and all my hay came from my farm so no transport issue. A step up would be a 255/265/275 or a 165/175. I'm not saying you can't use your loader with round bales but you have to know your limitations. The 245 is an all around tough tractor in my opinion, you should have no trouble selling it should you decide to upgrade. Good Luck!
