Years ago I ran some beef cows on a rented barn from an old brother and sisters. The most he ever milked was 16 cows. He had a 80 gallon tank. They cooked with wood in the kitchen and never ate at Mc Donalds, not even once to try it. lol. Just real good people. Both are no longer with us. I think he said the cows left in the late 70's. We have a few families around here that milk 50 cows or so yet.
