I installed Pertronix in mine a year ago, as well as replacing wires with suppression type. No issues at all. Starts instantly, and no maintenance. I also have Pertronix systems in my Onan JC generator, as well as the Onan CCK and LK. Again, no maintenance. Why use points and condenser, with the attendant possible condenser failure and point deterioration? But, each to his/her own devices! zuhnc
