I prefer to shop local but end up buying most parts and basic supplies, filters, etc, on-line; a fair amount of it through e-bay and amazon. I find the shipping depends entirely on the carrier with ups and fedex being foolproof and reliable. USPS shipping depends entirely upon which distribution center the parcel happens to be routed through, with one in Maryland for certain being like a black hole. I have had three different orders from different suppliers disappear there over the last six months, and four that stalled there for six-eight weeks, finally arriving well after we had already been through the refund process and reordered.
