WOW. Somebody took a nice old GMC truck and painted it up in JON DEAR COLORS. And I threw up in my mouth a little. My 4-H club leaders all worked at Deere mfg plants. One was a traffic manager, another a line supervisor, the third was on a traveling harvesting crew that tested new combines every year. I worked at FARMALL. I was talking to a trucking co dispatcher one day. We got into talking about Deere. They forbid trucking companies from coming to their plants with IH trucks. Made it really hard for most trking companies since IH was #1 in sales in most truck catagories other than pickups. But most companies around the Quad-Cities kept a GMC, or a White, maybe a Louisville Ford sitting around for Deere deliveries. The White Road Boss 2 I drove for several years after my last lay-off by FARMALL was actually ordered by STANDARD FORWARDING, Deere captive contract carrier, but the owner of Twin Bridges MACK bought Standard Forwarding and somehow got Midwest White GMC to keep the 6 new White tractors. So I drove a Jon Dear green semi-tractor for 2-3 years.

I have picked up and attempted to read every auto and farm electrics book with no improvement in the situation. They all seem to start with a chapter entitled "Theory of Electricity". After a few paragraphs I usually close the book and go back to banging out dents. A good friend and I were recently discussing our tractor electrical systems when he stated "I figure it all comes back to applying Ohms Law". At this point
