Be sure to check all passages in water separator housing for clogging. I once owned a M4900 I purchased used with 300 hours on speed/hour meter that after several hrs of use engine would loose power/rpm's. I could change filter & it would run fine for few hrs then loose power. I located a clogged passageway in water seperater housing & after cleaning clog it ran fine while I owned it.
