IF, the phone companies would simply make it impossible to spoof the caller ID, a lot of this would go away.
These robocallers are mostly violating the do not call registries, and most of them are calling from some call center overseas.
If your caller ID said you were getting a call from India, the Philippines, or some other far away exotic place, would you answer it? Since we have no legal jurisdiction in other countries, how else could it be enforced? Just make the caller ID indicate TRUTHFUL information, and most of it would go away almost overnight.
Call your congressman. Ask for legislation to force the phone companies to put an end to spoofing the caller ID.
Upload one or more videos to your post. Photo and video filesizes should be less than 5MB. Formats allowed are gif, jpg, png, ogg, mp4, mov, and avi. Be sure to use filenames without spaces or special characters, and filetypes of 3 digits lower case.
