The tools are soaking in an acid to remove rust. This is the after pic of finished project. He repurposed the pickax handle and used it on the sledge. He liked the old shape.
Before the lockdown my boy had no interest in making sawdust. Now making wood handles is his hobby.
I've given him some of my duplicate saws and sanders. His only problem is living in a subdivision with a HOA and a 3 car garage. I'm returning these tools to my old college friend today.
