The pullers that I pull with voted against pulling for money. Once the money starts its no longer for fun and bragging rights. As far as the duals are concerned it depends on what rules the pulling club has. If this was the first pull in your area the promoters were most likely a slack with any rules just to get folks interested in pulling. For our club we will let just about any tractor pull just so no one goes away disappointed. The only rule that we really to enforce is wheelie bars. You can show up once with a stock tractor and pull in the slow speed classes but next time you show up with that tractor it will need to have wheelie bars.
