Years ago my dad's younger brother gathered some walnuts that were green and still in the outer hull. He scuffed the outer hull and threw them in a fish pond that he wanted to clean out and restock. He said it would stun the fish and they would float to the top then they used seines to get all of the fish out along with turtles and a few snakes. Gene Davis (Ga.)
