Round up is 4oz to the gallon in a small sprayer. DO NOT MIX AT A LOWER RATE. This causes weeds to have immunity to the spray. This a fact, well known; EG: using a lower rate has caused mare's tail(a bad weed in soy beans) to become resistant and now immune to round up. I have used round up(41%) ,not the home owner mix, on my driveway. Round up kills the living weed and grass by 'the root'. It does not kill seeds that sprout up. Pramitol sterilizes the soil and kills living weeds, but it can leach into surrounding areas where you don't want to kill anything. It has to be applied before a rain. I used it on my driveway(600') once this year but eventually (@ 2- 2 1/2mo) weeds grew back and I resprayed with round up because Pramitol is only supposed to be sprayed once in 12 months. I do not know why I did not have better luck with Pramitol, but with round up I have to spray more often. I recommend you talk to your local extension agent. And whatever you do, spray at least at the recommended rate(s) on the labels. This is NOT THE PLACE TO BE CHEAP! I know it seems like you have to be a rocket scientist to understand the label, but if I can do it you can too. Seriously, your local extension agent should be very helpful with this, and in my experience, they like to be asked and to help Mark.
