Don't forget about sodium (salt). Even if on a low sodium diet, if you are having cramps you may be low. The other thing is hydration. Got to have enough fluid in your body to move all those electrolytes around. Water, gatorade or similar drinks, or pedialyte. Coffee and soda won't do it and can make things worse. The other bad one is alcohol. You can actually pee out more than you take in. Been in fire and EMS for 40 years, still active. Was a full time paramedic in large urban area for 20 years. I don't know it all, but do know a lot on this subject. Brian
