I wanted to give the pumpkins seeds a jump start, so I laid them between wet paper towels for 16 hours before planting. I thought I would be planting into somewhat moist soil, and they were calling for rain....well, it was dry soil and no rain. The seeds have shrunk back down...they were getting plump after soaking. They are laying dry and it looks like 4-5 more dry days.....this was abotu 500 seeds. What will happen to them? Will the germination be lower, will they not grow at all?
